The Business Council for Sustainable Development (BCSD) Malaysia is pleased to express our wholehearted support for the Star Media ESG Positive Impact Awards (ESG PIA) this year. This prestigious event plays a vital role in acknowledging and celebrating the outstanding contributions of organisations dedicated to sustainability. Recognizing the winners not only honors their remarkable achievements but also serves as an inspiration to others, encouraging continued commitment to sustainable development.
This year’s ESG Positive Impact Awards, organized by Star Media Group (SMG) with OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad as the main sponsor and Ernst & Young as the advisor and auditor, was a remarkable success. Held on August 21, the ESG PIA gala night celebrated 64 exemplary companies for their steadfast dedication to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, recognizing their efforts to integrate sustainability and societal welfare into their core business strategies.

BCSD Malaysia values our strong partnership with the ESG PIA, which we have proudly supported as a working partner since the inaugural awards in 2022. We are committed to continuing this fruitful collaboration in the years to come. Since our establishment in August 2020 as a Global Network Partner and the Malaysian chapter of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), we have been dedicated to accelerating the transition towards a sustainable future. Our partnership with the ESG PIA aligns with our shared goals and values, particularly our commitment to promoting Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.

We are particularly proud of the contributions made by our directors, Stefanie Braukamann, and Roberto Benetello, who are the ESG PIA program judges this year.
